*Crossing the Border

So this year's Vacation destination was Washington, DC. My brother's best friend Brett lives down there and the two families are close. So Brett drove up two weeks ago spend some time at our house then last Sunday the boys and Brett's parents went back to DC. Yesterday was our turn to drive down. This broke my heart slightly as mean as i am i quite enjoyed being an only child for the week, it was quiet, no one to bug me constantly. Just being home alone doing my thing, reading was relaxing, a little bit of bliss.

The drive down was good had the whole back seat to myself! Which only happens when we drive to my grandparents and my dad doesn't tag along, and Fred sit in the front seat to keep mom company while i read and listen to music. Which is pretty much what i did yesterday, and sleep, something i don't usually do i guess the lack of sleep was getting to me. Getting up early to go to the gym and going to bed late cause there a certain someone you want to talk to.

We got there around supper time they have a beautiful house i absolutely adore it.

Today we drove around our hosts showing us some of the memorials, the museums, and some of the site to see, and Georgetown, which i fell in love with, it's just a section of the city that has cute little shops, stores and much more and it's also where Georgetown Cupcake is located the shop from tlc's DC Cupcakes. We'll have some tomorrow!

The day is coming to and end, or is pretty much over its about 10:15 pm, everyone is just lounging around in the living room talking enjoying each others company and eating delicious peaches and cream.

Can't wait to explore more of this beautiful city tomorrow.

Forever Warped in time

Saturday was the big concert in Montreal i had been talking about, it was amazing. Spend a wonderful time, in a city I love, enjoying some of my favorite bands, and best of all experiencing this with my best friend. We arrived at my auntie's house around 8pm. When we got there everyone was hungry even if my cousins had had super a couple hours ago. It took us ten minutes to agree on the pizza toppings! I'm slightly picky. ha ha. While we waited Meagan and I decided to watch a movie, she chose Pride and Prejudice, oh how i love that movie! After the movie watched, pizza eaten, off to bed we when since we had a big day ahead of us.



After eating breakfast, getting ready, out the door we went and on wards to the city! It was Meagan's first time on the subway and I must admit it was quite funny to watch her freak out in excitement taking pictures of us inside the subway.This being only my third time and first time taking it alone with out anyone that knows where to go and all that I did considerably well. Our day was simply amazing. Zig zaging around the park, figuring out the groups we wanted to see. Sitting in the grass by the river , eating pizza, seeing friends, and actually enjoying the music its self. We wont soon forget that day we had in mtl but there is one bang we will probably remember for a very very long time.

Just about to hit the road.

So as I've been looking forward to all week is only less then 24 hours, and a 2 hours drive away. I can't wait, I'm absolutely thrilled! I've donne my packing, gotten everything rounded up, and I've good to go. And only about three hours to wait untill I get into a car and vamoose to Montreal. Only problem I think we'll suffer from heat stroks, auntie doesn't have A/C, and tomorrow is going to be incredibly humid because of the beautiful little rain storm we just had here. Oh boy it's going to be interessting. :p

Thoughts du jour- First Blog! xD

AH I'm so happy this is my first blog! I've been flirting with the thought for a while. I was really convinced when I was talking to my good friend Eli about it, and she was helping choose a name, the one she liked the best is the one I picked. Just sounded the best and it's the name that felt wright in my gut.

Anyways I've not much to say tonight, or this morning which ever way you want to spin it, I just really wanted to get started and post my first blog even with out much to say.

Oh there is one thing I'm quite excited about and looking forward to is warped tour on Saturday! Not only that but this year I'm bringing my best friend Meagan with me. Since the show is in Montreal two hours away we are driving down to my auntie's place about 20 minutes from downtown and staying there for the weekend. We are both so excited about this because of the show, we get to ride the metro there! and also since where spending the weekend together and my auntie's it's going to be like the sleepovers we haven't had in so very long! I decided to make it a bit of a girls get away, because summer just started and we finished school, so this will be good. Also it makes us think of the awesome time we had last summer when we traveled all the way to Toronto to see one of our favorite bands since childhood, since we've been best friends, it was was an awesome time we had. Shopping, sleepover, favorite band, in an other city it was amazing!

So on this very cheery note, that's about all i have to say tonight/morning. I'm looking forward to this weekend and just pretty much the rest of this fabulous summer
